New Network of Centres of Excellence and new NSERC/Hewlett Packard Chair
for Women in Science and Engineering to be Funded
Guelph, November 3, 2003 – Representatives from
the media are cordially invited to attend the announcement of two major
investments in:
- a new Network of Centres of Excellence to support research and development
on advanced foods and materials;
- and a new NSERC/Hewlett Packard Chair for Women in Science and Engineering.
Government of Canada officials, representatives from local universities
and hospitals, WISE Chairholder and new network researchers will also
be present.

Location: Arboretum Centre, University of Guelph
Directions: Take Highway 401 east or west to Brock Road
(Old Highway 6) north to Guelph. Turn right (east) on South Ring Road.
Turn left (north) on East Ring Road and proceed to Arboretum Road. Turn
right (east) and proceed to the Arboretum Centre. Free parking is available
adjacent the centre.
