NSERC John C. Polanyi Award

Dr. John C. Polanyi made Canada proud when he and his fellow researchers won the 1986 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Through his molecular beam and infrared chemiluminescence experiments, he clarified chemical dynamics right down to the level of atoms and molecules. His discoveries have dramatically boosted understanding of the physics of chemical reactions and have strongly contributed to later science and technology developments.

Synergy Awards for Innovation

The annual Synergy Awards for Innovation recognize examples of university-industry collaboration that stand as a model of effective partnership.
