Secretary of State for Science, Research and Development Maurizio Bevilacqua to visit Montreal

Ottawa, Ontario, March 26, 2002 – On Wednesday, March 27, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Secretary of State for Science, Research and Development, will give a luncheon address to the Montreal Economic Institute, where he will announce over 2,000 new Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) scholarship and fellowship recipients. Some of the winners will be on hand.

His talk, entitled "Productivity with a Purpose," will look at the federal government's role in creating an investment-friendly environment and a more competitive economy. (Details at www.iedm.org/activities_en.html#Bevilacqua.)
