Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. -- William Butler Yeats

Congratulations to all students eligible to graduate!

Convocation
is more than just a formal ceremony for the conferral of degrees, diplomas and certificates; it is a time-honoured ceremony to celebrate individual student achievement.

Celebrate with a Tree!

For generations, the University of Toronto campus has provided a green space in which to study, teach and research. To sustain this environment for generations to come, the university is proud to offer a Tree Donation Program
, allowing anyone to plant a tree on the St. George campus as part of our open space plan. Planting a tree can be a way to:
  • Pay tribute to an individual
  • Celebrate an event or occasion
  • Contribute to the community

Give a gift that grows. Your minimum $750 donation will pay for the cost of purchasing and planting your tree, and for regular maintenance including fertilization, watering and pruning.

Graduation Photos

A professional photographer will take convocation photographs of each graduate. Chappell Studios will mail wallet sized proofs of this photo to every attending graduate, free of charge. The package in which the proof arrives in will have a secure CUSTOMER NUMBER that students may use to view their photos online at the Chappell Studios webpage "view and order form".

Transcripts

A transcript is an electronic or paper document which summarizes a student's (total) academic participation (including grades) at the University and other relevant data (e.g., transfer credits, etc.).

An "official" transcript that will be passed on by the student to the recipient is issued in a sealed and stamped envelope. If the envelope is opened before it reaches the intended recipient, it may no longer be considered "official".

Ordering Transcripts

There are three ways to order transcripts:

1. Order on-line through ROSI. Students will need both their Student Number and ROSI PIN.

2. Mail or fax a completed Transcript Request Form to the University of Toronto Transcript Centre (UTTC):

3. Visit the UTTC in person.
