When Things Change

 > Students > The Basics > When Things Change

From time to time, some students of the University of Toronto may decide to change the course of their academic careers, or may require some form of special consideration.  Some of the more common student requests include:

  • I want to change programs.
  • I want to change colleges.
  • I want to change faculties.
  • I want to attend another University.
  • I need to take a leave of absence.
  • I need to re-register or upgrade.
  • I need a letter of permission.
  • I need to obtain transfer credits.
  • I need special consideration.
  • I need to drop a course.

A student’s academic advisor is the first point of contact in addressing these types of change.  Visit the Academic Advising page for a listing of Registrars.  Students who apply for a residence after admission should go to the residence directly rather than their Registrar.
