The Varsity


The Varsity The Varsity is Canada's largest-circulation student newspaper. The paper is published twice a week from September to April and is distributed on all three campuses. The Varsity covers the University and environs and the issues important to students.

Established in 1978, the newspaper (briefly known as The Independent Weekly) is U of T’s weekly community newspaper. With a circulation of 17,000, the paper is published every Thursday and is available on campus and in the surrounding community.

The Medium

UTM’s student newspaper, The Medium, is a primary source of information for UTM students and staff, and provides experience to those who wish to pursue a career in the field of journalism.

The Underground

The Underground is UTSC’s weekly student paper. Made up entirely of students, the paper's editorial staff is committed to covering UTSC’s news and events, and the issues important to the community.


College and Faculty Newspapers

Many colleges and faculties have their own student newspaper and other publications.  Each publication has its own style and editorial direction.  A list of Campus Newspaper and Radio Stations is available on the Student Affairs Web site.

Campus Radio

Listen up! Campus radio is an integral part of the student culture at the University of Toronto, delivering music, news, and information to the community. Tune in to enjoy an eclectic mix of music and to find out what’s going on at the University.


CIUT 89.5 FM

In 1966, a group of University of Toronto students started Radio University, successfully establishing an independent radio station and voice for the University of Toronto community. Today, CIUT-FM has earned the right to call themselves real radio.

 

CFRE Radio 91.9FM

 
CFRE Radio offers diverse range of programming which appeals to the UTM student body. Vibe works in conjunction with student groups and organizations on campus to provide quality services to its listeners.


Scarborough
Fusion Radio (CSCR)

Fusion Radio is the official online radio station of the University of Toronto at Scarborough. Fusion Radio is run by the students and members of UTSC and is owned and operated by Scarborough Campus Community Radio Incorporated (SCCR).
