In front of over 300 faculty, staff and students, the 2006 Carleton Cares United Way Campaign unveiled its 2006 campaign goals at the annual President’s Kick-off Luncheon. A target of $185,000 and a participation rate of 55% are lofty targets but within reach according to Campaign Chair Rebecca Murray. “Over the coming two weeks, over 90 Office Coordinators, up from 75 in 2005, will span out across the campus spreading the message that we can all be everyday heroes’, noted Murray. “That as a part of the greater Ottawa community we have a responsibility to do our part in making sure this city continues to be a caring and compassionate one.”
