2002-260 The Commission approves Northern Telephone Limited's application dated 22 March 2002, in order to destandardize the existing Centrex service offering which will no longer be available for new installations; introduce three new Centrex II service plans; increase the rates for certain Centrex service plans; and conduct a promotional campaign to launch the new Centrex II service plans between 26 April 2002 and 28 June 2002. 2002-275 The Commission approves an application by Amtelecom Inc., dated 7 April 2002, and amended on 7 May 2002, to revise General Tariff sections 150, Public Telephone Service, and 160, Semi-Public Telephone Service; introduce a $0.25 charge for each originating call, for public and semi-public telephone services, applicable when the connection is established at the request of the calling party for collect, third party or calling card billing; or when the call is billed to a commercial credit card at a card reader pay telephone; clarify that the company retains ownership of the semi-public telephone and associated equipment; and provide that there is no charge for calls placed to 9-1-1 for public and semi-public telephone services. 2002-283 The Commission approves Bell Canada's application., dated 24 May 2002, to revise General Tariff item 60.2, Exchange Rate Groups, in order to correct the name of an independent company exchange from St-Nazaire d'Acton and St-Nazaire (Wickham) to St-Nazaire. 2002-285 The Commission received an application by Thunder Bay Telephone, dated 22 May 2002, to revise item 2.21, Gigabit Ethernet Local Area Network – Thunder Bay Regional Hospital, under section TB1000 of its General Tariff, in order to replace the 36-month initial service period of with one of 24 months, and revise the monthly rate to better reflect the requirements of the customer.Reference: TN 102. 2002-286 The Commission approves Microcell Connexions Inc.'s (Microcell) application dated 14 May 2002, for approval of the executed Appendix 3 to Schedule C, and a revised page 5 of Schedule C of the Master Agreement for Local Interconnection between Microcell and Bell Canada. 2002-287 The Commission approves TELUS Communications Inc.'s application dated 24 May 2002, to revise several items of the former TCI General Tariff in order to adopt the uniform banding structure approved in Decision CRTC 2001-238, 27 April 2001. Reference: TN 489. Eff. date= 16.07.02.

2002-288 The Commission approves TELUS Communication (Québec) Inc.'s application dated 22 May 2002, to revise General Tariff item 2.20.03, SmartTouch Services, in order to introduce a promotion for local business service subscribers from 8 July 2002 to 31 December 2002. During this promotion, all local business customers that sign a 12-month contract for Centrex service would receive voice messaging service free of charge for the duration of the contract. 2002-289 The Commission approves on a final basis applications by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom) dated 18 February 2002 and revised on 20 and 26 February 2002, on behalf of itself, Island Telecom Inc. (Island Tel), Maritime Tel & Tel Limited (MTT), NBTel Inc. (NBTel) and NewTel Communications Inc. (NewTel) to transfer the tariff items listed in the order to Aliant Telecom General Tariff item 304, Enhanced Local Calling Features. 2002-292 The Commission approves an application by MTS Communications Inc., dated 28 May 2002, to revise General Tariff item 2260, Messaging Bundle, in order to introduce a promotion from 1 August 2002 to 31 October 2002, for new individual line residential and business customers who subscribe to the Messaging Bundle. The new item relates to the provision of an OC-12 digital facility between Bell Canada's Belmont central office in Montréal, Quebec and Bell Canada's central office in Chomedey, Quebec. 2002-307 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 17 May 2002, to revise its Special Facilities Tariff in order to reinstate item B90(a), previously item B-824(a), Customer Direct Information Delivery Service. This item was removed in error under Tariff Notice 6602/A and approved in Order CRTC 2001-660, 17 August 2001. Reference: TN 6674. Eff. date= 23.07.02.

2002-308 The Commission approves an application by Execulink Telecom Inc., dated 25 March 2002 and amended on 10 May 2002, to revise its General Tariff item 4, Rate Schedules for Primary Exchange (Local) Service, under section 100, and item 5, Touch-Tone, under section 490, in order to increase the basic monthly rates for primary exchange services (PES) as noted in the order. 2002-309 The Commission approves an application by Prince Rupert City Telephones (CityTel), dated 6 June 2002, to introduce item 13, Wireless System Operators (WSO) – Tower Service, under section 10 of its General Tariff. This new item would provide WSOs with the ability to occupy space on CityTel's towers and/or rent connections to a CityTel antenna system; and place WSO equipment in the buildings owned or controlled by CityTel. 2002-310 The Commission approves on a final basis an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), dated 18 June 2001, for approval of the executed Agreement Specifying the Procedures of the Interexchange Carrier Group between SaskTel and Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. 2002-311 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 30 May 2002, to add Special Facilities Tariff item 209, Customer Specific Operator Services. The new item provides for the use of TCI's national operator services and includes Directory Assistance Service, National Operator Assistance Service, Overseas Directory Assistance and Message Relay Service. 2002-312 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 7 June 2002, to add Special Facilities Tariff item 208, Customer Specific Operator Services. The new item provides for the use of TCI's national operator service, including Directory Assistance Service, National Operator Assistance Service, Message Relay Service, and Optional Services and Other Charges. 2002-321 The Commission approves an an application by Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel), dated 18 December 2001, to revise Private Wire Service Tariff item 202, Voice Grade Channels, in order to increase, by an average of 20%, the monthly mileage rates, the monthly voice link rate, and service charges for voice grade channels. Northwestel also proposed to remove mileage bands above 490 miles, as there are no existing customers, nor expected demand, for this service in these bands.

2002-322 The Commission approves an application by Aliant Telecom Inc., dated 26 June 2002, to revise NewTel Communications Inc.'s General Tariff item 50, Exchange Service, in order to provide toll-free calling between the Newfoundland and Labrador exchanges of Burin and Rushoon through its Community Calling Plan service. Reference: TN 28. Eff. date= 26.08.02.

2002-323 The Commission approves an application by Aliant Telecom Inc., dated 9 April 2002, to add item 901, Promotions, to its General Tariff, in order to introduce a time-limited promotion aimed at winning back business customers. The proposed promotion would be available to eligible customers in the Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island serving territories and is to be in effect for a two-month period commencing in 2002, at a date to be determined by the company. 2002-324 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 28 November 2001, requesting approval to revise the former TCI tariff item 160, Emergency Reporting System (ERS) service, in order to discontinue offering the service to new customers while maintaining the service for existing customers in Alberta. TCI further proposed to amalgamate this tariff item with the equivalent, TCBC tariff item 422, Emergency Reporting and Alerting Systems.
