BROADCASTING INFORMATION REGULATIONS
Regulations Respecting Broadcasting Information Requirements
Short Title
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Broadcasting Information
Regulations, 1993
Submission of Information
2. (1) Subject to section 3, on or before November 30 of each
year, licensee that charges a fee to subscribers or to another
licensee that charges a fee to subscribers shall submit to the
Commission a statement of accounts, on the annual return of
broadcasting licensee form, for the year ending on the previous
August 31.
(2) Subject to section 3, at the request of the Commission, a
licensee shall provide the Commission with a response to any inquiry
regarding the licensee's programming or ownership or any other
matter within the Commission's jurisdiction that relates to the
licensee's undertaking.
(3) In this section, "subscriber" means a person who is
a subscriber within the meaning of the Cable Television Regulations,
1986.
3. Any licensee that is required by any other regulation made
under the Broadcasting Act to submit to the Commission any
information requested on the form referred to in subsection 2(1) or
on any matter referred to in subsection 2(2) is not required to
submit the information to the Commission pursuant to that
subsection.
