Direction to the CRTC

The Government of Canada has directed the CRTC to ensure that the Canadian broadcasting system is owned and controlled by Canadians.

Ownership Charts

The CRTC maintains ownership charts that outline the corporate relationship of licensed broadcasting services and their holding companies. The charts reflect only the transactions that have been approved by the CRTC and information supplied by the broadcasters themselves.

New Digital Services

Ownership requirements for new digital services are outlined in detail in Public Notice CRTC 2001-98.
