Broadcasting Decision:

2002-84 Shaw Communications Inc., Canadian Satellite Communications Inc. and Star Choice Television Network Incorporated, across Canada. APPROVED by majority vote – Applications to replace existing conditions of licence relating to structural separation for the Cancom satellite relay distribution undertaking and the Star Choice direct-to-home undertaking with new conditions.

Telecom Decisions:

2002-21 Provision of subscribers' telecommunications service provider identification to law enforcement agencies. Reference: Bell Canada TNs 6642 and 6642A.

2002-22 Rogers Wireless Inc. – Calculation of contribution-eligible revenues. The Commission denies Rogers Wireless Inc.'s. request to deem a portion of the monthly wireless service fee as wireless terminal equipment revenues to be deducted in the calculation of contribution-eligible revenues. Reference: 8638-C12-45/00.

2002-23 TELUS Communications Inc. and TELE-MOBILE COMPANY – Calculation of contribution-eligible revenues. The Commission denies the application filed by TELUS Communications Inc. and TELE-MOBILE COMPANY (collectively, TCI) to deem a portion of the monthly wireless service charge as wireless terminal equipment revenues to be deducted in the calculation of contribution-eligible revenues. Reference: 8695-T42-01/01.

Telecom Orders:

2002-150 The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Alliance of Publicly-Owned Telecommunications Systems (CAPTS), on behalf of Thunder Bay Telephone, dated 20 February 2002, and amended on 4 March 2002, to add General Tariff section 5001, CCS7 Transit Service, in order to provide for the exchange of CCS7 messages between a CAPTS company's CCS7 network and the networks of other interexchange carriers service providers, as applicable. Reference: TNs 14 and 14A. Eff. date = 12.04.02.

2002-151 The Commission approves on a final basis the application by Cochrane Public Utilities Commission, dated 22 January 2002, to revise Carrier Access Tariff section 630, in order to add a charge for recovery of equal access start-up costs and charges and conditions for interconnecting circuits with trunk-side access, network charges and carrier network profile change. Reference: TN 35.

2002-152 The Commission approves on a final basis the application by Northern Telephone Limited, dated 21 February 2001, to revise General Tariff section N1000, Special Assemblies, in order to provide a virtual private network for a major account customer. Reference: TN 144.

2002-153 The Commission approves on a final basis the application by Northern Telephone Limited, dated 22 February 2001, to revise General Tariff section N1000, Special Assemblies, in order to provide a virtual private network for a major account customer. Reference: TN 145.

2002-154 The Commission approves on a final basis the application by Northwestel Inc., dated 17 December 2001, to revise its Message Toll Service tariff item 309, BusinessCents Plus, in order to reduce, from $225,000 to $50,000, the minimum annual spending commitment required to qualify for this long distance calling plan contract. Reference: TN 768.

2002-155 The Commission approves Northwestel's request to introduce a $3.95 per minute rate for calls placed from a landline service to the Iridium (satellite) and billed to a Northwestel number. However, the Commission denies the company's request to set a retroactive effective date as this would amount to retroactive rate-making. Reference: TN 773. Eff. date = 12.04.02.

2002-156 The Commission approves the application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 5 March 2002, in order to increase the monthly business rates of certain features. Reference: TN 40. Eff. date = 01.05.02.

2002-157 The Commission approves the application by Thunder Bay Telephone, dated 28 February 2002, to revise its General Tariff item 8, 9-1-1 Public Emergency Reporting Service, in order to reflect changes made to the method of charging wireless service providers, consistent with Revised rate structure for Thunder Bay Telephone 9-1-1 PERS, Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-2, 18 January 2002. Reference: TN 100. Eff. date = 12.04.02.

2002-158 The Commission approves on a final basis, rates for unbundled loop-service order charges for TELUS Communications Inc. and Saskatchewan Telecommunications. Reference: 8643-C12-06/00.
