DENIED – Amendment of the condition of licence no. 2 to distribute as part of the basic service, four non-Canadian television stations from the Eastern time zone (one each from ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS) and one non-Canadian television station from the Central time zone (CBS) without identifying each specific signal. APPROVED – Alternative proposal for a condition of licence authorized to distribute WCVB-TV (ABC) Boston, Massachusetts, WCCO-TV (CBS) Minneapolis, Minnesota, WHDH-TV (NBC) Boston, WFXT-TV (FOX) and WGBH-TV (PBS) Boston, as part of the basic service. Broadcasting Public Notice:2002-38-1 Call for comments concerning Internet Retransmission (Order in Council P.C. 2002-1043). Extension of deadline for submission of comments: 13 September 2002. Telecom Orders:2002-358 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 19 July 2002, to revise its Special Facilities Tariff in order to introduce new items numbered D7(s), (t) and (u), 56 Kbps Data Channels. The new items relate to the provision of 56 Kbps digital facilities between various exchanges in Quebec. Reference: TN 6686.
