Broadcasting Decisions:

2002-355 Nextlevel Television Inc., on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated Across Canada Benny Doro, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated Across Canada. APPROVED – Division of the assets of Nextlevel between the two current shareholders mentioned in the decision.The licence for each service will expire 31 August 2007.

2002-356 Bea-Ver Communications Inc., Chatham, Ontario. APPROVED - Increase of the effective radiated power of its local rebroadcasting transmitter, CFCO-1-FM, from 50 watts to 250 watts.

Broadcasting Public Notice:

2002-69 Call for applications for a broadcasting licence to carry on a television programming undertaking to serve all or any one of Edmonton, Calgary, and Red Deer, Alberta. Persons interested in submitting such applications are required to file the applications to the Commission no later than 5 February 2003.

Telecom Decision:

2002-70 The Commission approves the application filed by Thunder Bay Telephone to review and vary the amount of Thunder Bay Telephone's total subsidy requirement for the years 2003, 2004 and 2005 determined in Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001.

Telecom Public Notice:

2002-5 New Procedure for Telecom costs awards. The Commission announces that it will generally proceed to fix the costs to be paid as part of the costs award process, thereby dispensing with the follow-up taxation process. Accordingly, it will only proceed with the taxation process in exceptional circumstances.

Telecom Order:

2002-422 The Commission approves an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. dated 1 October 2002, to revise NewTel Communications Inc.'s General Tariff item 50, Exchange Service, in order to introduce, through its Community Calling Plan service, toll-free calling between the Newfoundland and Labrador exchanges of Grey River and Burgeo and, between the exchanges of Grey River and Ramea. Reference: TN 50. Eff. Date = 20.11.02.
