Broadcasting Decisions:

2002-294 Newcap Inc., Sudbury, Ontario. APPROVED - Extension of the time limit to implement a decrease in effective radiated power from 100,000 watts to 11,000 watts at Sudbury.

2002-295 Rogers Cablesystems Georgian Bay Limited and Rogers Cable Inc., Collingwood and Barrie, Ontario. APPROVED - Addition of a portion of the authorized service area of the cable distribution undertaking serving Barrie and surrounding communities, to the Collingwood area.

2002-296 First Nations Cable Inc., Six Nations, Ontario. Revocation of the licence of an exempted small cable distribution.

2002-297 David Jackson, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, Sudbury, Ontario. APPROVED – Extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new radio programming undertaking in Sudbury, until 5 September 2003.

2002-298 Bethany Pentecostal Tabernacle, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. APPROVED - extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new radio station in Whitehorse, until 26 February 2003.

Telecom Decisions:

2002-61 The Commission concludes that Bell Canada is not inappropriately cross-subsidizing Bell ExpressVu Limited Partnership’s (ExpressVu) entry into the Quebec broadcasting distribution market. The Commission also notes that it cannot, in this instance, make a determination regarding ExpressVu’s licence renewal. The Commission will address the renewal of ExpressVu’s licence in the context of a public process, to be held in spring 2003. Reference: 8622-Q15-01/02.

2002-62 The Commission approves on a final basis, effective 1 January 2001, the terms, conditions and rates for loop selection service. The Commission also directs the incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) to provide rebates to service providers for the difference between the interim and the final rates approved in this decision. The Commission further directs the ILECs to provide the Commission with information about the availability of databases and the provision of loop selection service to affiliates. Telecom Orders:

2002-396 The Commission approves an application by Hay Communications Co-operative Limited, dated 1 September 2002, to revise items 2, 3, 4, 7.03, 7.04, 11, 13, 14 and 15, under section 490 of its General Tariff, Miscellaneous Equipment, pursuant to Section VII-B of Regulatory framework for the independent telephone companies in Quebec and Ontario (except Ontario Northland Transportation Commission, Québec-Téléphone and Télébec ltée), Telecom Decision CRTC 96-6, 7 August 1996. Reference: TN 21. Eff. date = 08.10.02.

2002-397 The Commission approves an application by the Ontario Telecommunications Association, dated 30 August 2002, to revise the index, check pages and table of contents of the Ontario Independent Services Tariff. Reference: TN 84. Eff. date = 08.10.02.
