What's New - July 13, 2000 INFORMATION:
CBC's broadcasting services provided to
communities outside Quebec. In order to assist interested parties in preparing
their Public Notice CRTC 2000-74
comments, the CBC has provided the Commission with the following factual information in regard to the
availability of the CBC's French-language broadcasting services. The Commission is placing
this information on its website and also on the public file of this proceeding.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:

Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2000-5 dated 26 May 2000
relating to its public hearing to be held on August 14, 2000, at 9:00 a.m., at
the Conference Centre, Phase IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, the Commission
announces that Item 8, Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting Inc. (Food Network Canada), Toronto,
Ontario and Item 115, Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting Inc. (OBCI) (Food Network Canada),
Toronto, Ontario are withdrawn from the public hearing.

2000-97 Seeking comments on
provision of subscribers' telecommunications service provider identification information
to law enforcement agencies. Reference: 8665-C12-10/00
and Bell Canada Tariff Notice 6479.

TN 6480A. The
Commission approves on an interim basis Bell Canada's request to extend the current
Calling Features promotion to 12 August 2000 and to extend the period that the
customers have to redeem their coupons to 15 November 2000.

TN 6487. The
Commission approves Bell Canada's request for a custom-designed arrangement providing for
a 56 Kbps digital facility between Sunderland and Newmarket, Ontario.

2000-651 NewTel TN 635. The Commission approves on an interim basis an ex parte
application filed by NewTel on 27 June 2000.
