What's New - March 17, 2000

The CRTC has implemented a one-numbering system for its broadcasting and telecommunications decisions and notices. All CRTC decisions and notices will now be numbered in sequence. We hope that this will make it easier for you to access our documents.

CRTC Orders NewTel (Newfoundland and Labrador) to improve telephone access to emergency services

DECISION:

2000-75 CJRT-FM Inc., Toronto, Ontario. APPROVED - Renewal of the broadcasting licence for CJRT-FM Toronto from 1 April 2000 to 31 August 2006.

NOTICE:

2000-42 Certification for Canadian Programs - A revised approach.

ORDERS:

2000-205 Bell Intrigna Inc. Reference: 8340-B29-0452/00. The Commission approves on an interim basis a Basic Listing Interchange File Agreement.

2000-206 OTA TNs 50 and 51. The Commission approves, by majority vote, a $0.20 rate increase for Operator Assistance (OA) and Directory Assistance (DA) services provided by the members of the OTA. The Commission also approves the changes to the respective members’ OA and DA exemption eligibility criteria.

2000-207 Sogetel TNs 91/A. The Commission approves, by majority vote, a $0.20 rate increase for Sogetel's Operator Assistance service. The Commission also approves c hanges to the exemption eligibility criteria for this service along with the removal of that section of Sogetel's General Tariff pertaining to the regulation of toll services provided by incumbent local exchange carriers.
