APPROVED – Amendment of the definition of "first run" program and the application of the industry codes regarding sex-role portrayal and violence in television programming. DENIED – Application to modify its service by including programs for all members of the family and request to introduce advertising to its service. DENIED – All other proposed modifications.

2000-140 YTV Canada, Inc., Across Canada. APPROVED – Renewal of the broadcasting licence for an English-language specialty programming undertaking YTV from 1 June 2000 to 31 August 2006. DENIED – Proposed rate increases. APPROVED – Change to YTV's "protagonist" condition of licence and addition of a new condition of licence requiring that programming broadcast between 9 p.m and midnight be of particular interest to youth (age 12 to 17) and their families.
