NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:

2000-9-2 Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2000-9 dated 15 September 2000 relating to the Public Hearing which will commence on 20 November 2000, at 9:00 a.m., at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown, 6083 McKay Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia, the Commission announces that since a federal election has been called to take place on Monday, November 27, the hearing will be held from November 20 at 9:00 a.m. to the 24th inclusively and then resume on Tuesday, November 28 at 9:00 a.m.

ORDERS:

2000-996 The Commission denies TCBC's request to offset the monthly surcharge related to the expansion of the Greater Vancouver local calling area with a $0.50 monthly rate reduction because TCBC did not file cost evidence to support a reduction in the Centrex rate. Reference:  TNs 4098 and 4098A.

2000-997 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request filed on behalf of MTS Communications Inc. to increase the rates for selected Megastream components and change the service charges associated with circuit terminations. Reference:  TN 729 (NST). Eff. date = 24.11.2000.

2000-998 CRTC denies permanent winback promotion for Bell Canada's residence individual line service. Reference:  TN 6488.
