SPEECH:

Françoise Bertrand to a public hearing to consider an application regarding the transfer of control of CTV Inc. to an affiliate of BCE Inc.; an application by CanWest Global Communications Corp. to acquire Montreal television station, CJNT-TV; as well as an application to renew the licence of Toronto campus radio station, CIUT-FM, Hull, Quebec.

DECISION:

2000-391 Wesley United Church Radio Board, St. John’s, Newfoundland. APPROVED – Addition of a condition of licence allowing the radio programming undertaking VOWR St. John's to broadcast a lower level (30%) of Canadian popular music.
