What's New - April 19, 2001

DECISION:

2000-626-1 Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Ltd. (OBCI), Across Canada. The Commission hereby corrects the English-language version of Decision CRTC 2000-626 dated 14 December 2000, which approved Category 2 digital specialty service Maple Leaf Channel.

NOTICES:

2001-43 The Commission has received the following applications: Rogers Cable Inc., Allardville, Bathurst, Blue Mountain Settlement, etc., New Brunswick; Carleton, Quebec; and Bolton and surrounding areas, CFB Borden, Alliston, etc., Ontario. To add a condition of licence that would allow the licensee, at its option, to insert certain promotional material as a substitute for the "local availabilities" (i.e. non-Canadian advertising material) or non-Canadian satellite services. Deadline for intervention:  24 May 2001.

2001-44 The Commission has received the following applications: Radio du golfe inc., Cloridorme, Rivière-à-Claude, etc., Quebec. To add FM transmitters at Cloridorme, Rivière-à-Claude, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts East and Murdochville so that the residents of the villages receive all the regional information available; and to amend the technical contours of the low power station CJMC-FM-4 Grande-Vallée by changing the current frequency of 92.7 MHZ (channel 224LP) to 103.1 MHz (channel 276LP). Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Deline, Northwest Territories. To change the programming source of the transmitter CBQO-FM Deline from CHAK Inuvik to CFYK Yellowknife. Deadline for intervention:  24 May 2001.

2001-318 The Commission approves an Agreement Specifying the Procedures of the Interexchange Carrier Group between MTS Communications Inc. and TELUS Communications Inc. Reference:  8340-M3-0763/00.

2001-319 The Commission approves an Agreement Specifying the Procedures of the Interexchange Carrier Group between MTS Communications Inc. and Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. Reference:  8340-M3-0764/00.

2001-320 The Commission approves a Wireless Service Provider Interconnection Agreement between MTS Communications Inc. and Microcell Connexions Inc. Reference:  8340-M3-0765/00.

2001-321 The Commission approves MTS' request to provide for the unchannelized trasnmission of information from the customer’s premises to another premises within the exchange at 155 Mbps (OC-3) or 622 Mbps (OC-12), or from the customer's premises to the rate center to connect with other network services. Reference:  TN 450. Eff. date = 19.04.01.
