DECISIONS:

2001-37 University of Toronto Community Radio Inc., Toronto, Ontario. APPROVED – Renewal of the licence for the community-based campus radio programming undertaking CIUT-FM Toronto, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2003.

2001-38 The Ontario Educational Communications Authority (TVOntario), Province of Ontario. APPROVED – Renewal of the broadcasting licences for the English-language educational television service, TVO (CICA-TV Toronto and its transmitters); the French-language educational television service, TFO (CHLF-TV Toronto and its transmitters); and the television service broadcasting the proceedings of the Ontario Legislative Assembly, from 1 March 2001 to 31 August 2007. APPROVED – Request to lower the level of Canadian programming it offers over the broadcast day to 65%.

2001-39 Gary Farmer, on behalf of a company to be incorporated (Aboriginal Voices Radio), Across Canada. APPROVED - National Native radio programming network licence to be known as Aboriginal Voices Radio Network (AVRN), expiring 31 August 2006.

2001-40 Cathe Wagg, Campbell River, British Columbia. APPROVED - New low-power English-language FM radio station at Campbell River, expiring 31 August 2007.

2001-41 Natotawin Broadcasting Inc., La Ronge and Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. APPROVED – Addition of a transmitter at Meadow Lake.

2001-42 Radio communautaire MF Lac Simon inc., Lac Simon (Louvicourt), Quebec. APPROVED - Decrease of the effective radiated power for CHUT-FM Lac Simon, from 102 watts to 97.9 watts.

2001-43 Northern Native Broadcasting, Yukon, Whitehorse and Aklavik, Northwest Territories. APPROVED – Addition of a transmitter at Aklavik.

2001-44 Northern Native Broadcasting, Yukon, Whitehorse and Good Hope Lake, British Columbia. APPROVED – Addition of a transmitter at Good Hope Lake.

ORDERS:

2001-93 The Commission approves on an interim basis an ex parte application filed by Aliant Telecom Inc. on behalf of NewTel Communications Inc., NBTel Inc., Maritime Tel & Tel Limited and Island Telecom Inc. on 21 December 2000. Aliant also filed an amendment to NBTel TN 856 and NewTel TN 647 on 19 January 2001. Reference:  Island Tel TN 551, MTT TN 793, NBTel TNs 856 and 856A, and NewTel TNs 647 and 647A.

2001-94 The Commission approves, on a final basis, Bell Canada's application dated 12 September 2000 to revise the Agreement for the Provision of Operator Services and to introduce the Short Message Service Directory Assistance feature. Reference:  TN 6515.

2001-95 The Commission approves TCBC's request to restructure the existing service charges and to align its service charge rate structure with that of TELUS Communications Inc.'s (Alberta). Reference:  TN 4117.

2001-96 The Commission approves on an interim basis TCBC's request and related agreementsto introduce a wireless service provider enhanced provincial 9-1-1 network access service. The Commission also approves on an interim basis houskeeping changes to its Provincial 9-1-1 service. Reference:  TN 4120 and 8340-T46-0718/00. Eff. Date = 02-02-01.

2001-97 The Commission approves on an interim basis TCI's request and related agreement to introduce a wireless service provider enhanced provincial 9-1-1 network access service. The Commission also approves on an interim basis houskeeping changes to its Provincial 9-1-1 service. Reference:  TNs 327 and 327A and 8340-T42-0725/00. Eff. Date = 02-02-01.

2001-98 The Commission approves, on a final basis, Cannect's application dated 6 July 2000 relating to a Billing and Collection Services Agreement. Reference:  8340-C40-0638/00.

2001-99 The Commission approves TELUS' application for a service charge waiver for additional Centrex lines but denies the service charge waiver on moves of Centrex lines. Reference:  TCI TN 293 and TCBC TN 4109.

2001-100 The Commission directs Bell Canada to include a downward exogenous adjustment to its price cap formula to recognize certain gross receipts tax (GRT) savings resulting from the reduction in the GRT rate. Reference:  8661-C25-02/00.

2001-101 The Commission approves, on an interim basis, a Master Agreement for CLEC-IXC Interconnection between Bell Canada and QuébecTel Alizé Inc. Reference:  8340-Q6-0747/00.
