NOTICE:

2000-173-1 Proposals to amend the lists of eligible satellite services through the inclusion of additional non-Canadian services eligible for distribution on a digital basis only. Following Public Notice CRTC 2000-173, the Commission received a proposal by the Canadian Cable Television Association (CCTA) to add a number of non-Canadian programming services to the lists of eligible satellite services (the lists). While the proposal was received by the deadline of 12 January, the CCTA indicated it would be unable to file all of the required documentation before 12 February 2001. The Commission has approved the CCTA's request to extend the deadline until that date. The publication of all proposed additions to the lists originally planned for 26 January is therefore delayed.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:

2001-2 The Commission will hold a public hearing commencing on 26 March 2001, at 9:00 a.m., at the Hilton Montréal Bonaventure, 1 Place Bonaventure, Montréal, Quebec, to consider various broadcasting licences. Deadline for intervention:  1 March 2001.

ORDERS:

2001-57 The Commission approves CAPTS's request to introduce a monthly charge for the provision of interexchange network services by four of its members: Bruce Municipal Telephone System, Dryden Municipal Telephone System, Kenora Municipal Telephone System and The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay - Telephone Division. References:  TN 11 and 11A.

2001-58 The Commission approves CityTel's request to introduce usage charges for the analog and digital cellular systems and prepaid cellular service. Reference:  TN 48. Eff. Date = 26-01-01.

2001-59 The Commission approves Québec-Téléphone's request to offer single line business service customers seven SmartTouch service options, namely Call Answer, Name and Number Display, Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, Three-way Calling, Call Return and Speed Call (eight codes), at a monthly rate of $6.45 from 1 February to 31 July 2001. Reference:  TN 292.

2001-60 The Commission approves Québec-Téléphone's request to offer small- and medium-businesses Centrex customers with 1 to 24 lines, four SmartTouch service options, namely Centrex Access Device, Call Answer, Call Return and Name and Number Display, at a monthly rate of $9.95 from 1 February to 31 July 2001. Reference:  TN 293.

2001-61 The Commission approves St-Éphrem's request to introduce the 9-1-1 Emergency reporting service. Reference:  TN 15. Eff. Date = 01-04-01.

2001-62 The Commission approves TCI's request to : increase the monthly rate for YAK PAK local exchange carrier (LEC) from $20.89 to $22.95 and LEC and primary interexchange carrier package from $17.89 to $19.95; introduce an additional calling feature, namely Silver Voice Mailbox; and introduce a reduced monthly rate of $16.95 for eligible YAK PAK customers. Reference:  TN 322. Eff. Date = 31-01-01.

2001-63 The Commission approves TCI's request to: increase from $11.95 to $14.95 the monthly rates for 3 calling features for customers who have the TCI as their local exchange carrier (LEC); introduce a $12.95 monthly rate for customers who have TCI as their LEC and primary interexchange carrier (PIC); and introduce Call Answer as a feature to be added to the list of features available as part of the package with corresponding monthly rates for LEC ($15.95) and LEC/PIC ($13.95) monthly rates. The Commisson also approves TCI's request to remove the eligibility of Advanced Call Forwarding, Call Gate and Do Not Disturb, as part of the residence service package. Reference:  TN 325. Eff. Date = 31-01-01.

2001-64 The Commission approves a standardized business rate increase of $4.70 per line for Wightman's and South Bruce's exchanges. Reference:  TN 17. Eff. Date = 01-02-01.

2001-65 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request to revise its General Tariff Item 685 for the addition of a promotion for KeyPak High Speed, from 11 February to 15 May 2001, but denies the addition of a promotion for KeyPak Dial to run during the same period. Reference:  TN 6551.

2001-66 The CRTC approves a contribution exemption for administrative lines provided to RSL COM by Bell Canada. Reference:  8626-R7-03/00.
