Broadcasting Decisions:

2006-54 The Family Channel Inc., Across Canada. APPROVED – New national, English-language Category 2 specialty programming undertaking to be known as Boyz Own. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.

2006-55 CanWest MediaWorks Inc. and Rogers Communications Inc., partners in a general partnership carrying on business as Prime TV. Across Canada. APPROVED – Acquisition of the assets of the national, English-language specialty programming undertaking known as Prime TV (Prime TV) from the current partners, CanWest MediaWorks Inc. and Prime Television Holdco Inc. as well as a new broadcasting licence to operate the undertaking under the same terms and conditions as those specified in the current licence. The licence will expire 31 August 2010.

2006-56 Multivan Broadcast Corporation (the general partner), and 650504 B.C. Ltd., Douglas M. Holtby, Geoffrey Y.W. Lau, Robert H. Lee, Joseph Segal and RCG Forex Service Corp. (the limited partners), carrying on business as Multivan Broadcast Limited Partnership, Vancouver, British Colombia. APPROVED – New transitional digital television undertaking in association with CHNM-TV Vancouver. The licence will expire 31 August 2008.

2006-57 Newcap Inc., Bonnyville, Alberta. APPROVED – New English-language commercial FM radio programming undertaking in Bonnyville, Alberta, expiring 31 August 2012.

2006-58 Concordia Student Broadcasting Corporation, Montréal, Quebec. APPROVED – New English-language community-based campus AM radio programming undertaking in Montréal, Quebec. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.

2006-59 Michael McMann, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, Fort Vermilion, Alberta. APPROVED – New English-, Cree- and Beaver-language developmental community FM radio programming undertaking in Fort Vermilion, Alberta. The licence will expire 10 March 2010.

2006-60 La radio communautaire de LaSalle, Montréal (zone Lasalle), Quebec. APPROVED – New Type B French-language community FM radio programming undertaking in Montréal, Quebec. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.

2006-61 Destination Osoyoos Development Society,Osoyoos, British Columbia. APPROVED – New English-language, low-power tourist FM radio programming undertaking in Osoyoos, British Columbia. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.
