Broadcasting Decisions:
2006-188-1 CHUM Limited, Toronto, Ontario. ERRATUM – The Commission corrects Broadcasting Decision 2006-188, by replacing the title and paragraph 1 of the decision.
2006-490 Saskatchewan Telecommunications, Battleford, Estevan, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Pilot Butte, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, Weyburn, White City and Yorkton, Saskatchewan. APPROVED – Licence amendments pertaining to its provision of an outlet for local expression as part of the service offered by its regional, Saskatchewan-based video on demand programming undertaking. Licence amendments recognizing the licensee’s expenditures on local expression, for the purposes of the contribution scheme set out in section 29 of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations. DENIED – Authorization to redirect to the outlet for local expression any portion of the annual contribution that must be made by the video-on-demand undertaking.
2006-491 Saskatchewan Telecommunications. Across Canada. APPROVED – National, general interest terrestrial pay-per-view service. The licence will expire 31 August 2013.
2006-492 Powell River Model Community Project for Persons with Disabilities, Powell River, British Columbia. APPROVED – English-language, low-power Type B community FM radio programming undertaking in Powell River. The licence will expire 31 August 2013.
2006-493 District of Kitimat, Kitimat, British Columbia. APPROVED – New radiocommunication distribution undertaking to serve Kitimat. The licence will expire 31 August 2013.
Telecom Decisions:
2006-54 The Commission forbears, with some conditions, from regulating high capacity/ digital data services interexchange private line services on those additional routes on which the competitors of several incumbent local exchange carriers now offer or provide such services at DS‑3 or greater bandwidth. Reference: 8638‑S1‑01/98.
2006-55 The Commission finds that the status of the rates associated with TELUS Communications Company's (TCC) ADSL [asymmetric digital subscriber line] Access to Individual Line Service should be modified from final to interim while the Commission determines the appropriate competitor service classification for this service. The Commission also directs TCC to show cause why, in the provision of this service, the connection between the central office main distribution frame and a service provider's co‑located ADSL equipment cannot be provisioned using the Connecting Link A service.
