Important – Virus !

A worldwide virus outbreak occurred at 3:00 p.m. January 26th, 2004.

All emails as of 2:00 p.m. Monday January 26th, sent to the Commission with .zip attachments were blocked due to security measures.

Do not send the Commission any emails with .zip attachments as they will be blocked for the next 72 hours.

If you need to file documents with the Commission within the next 72 hours, any unzipped formats will be received.

Broadcasting Decision:

2004-54 Novus Entertainment Inc., Vancouver, British Columbia. APPROVED – Acquisition of the signal of KSTW Tacoma/Seattle from a non-Canadian source, for the cable broadcasting distribution undertaking serving Vancouver.

Telecom Orders:

2004-34 The Commission approves an application by O.N.Telcom, dated 22 December 2003, to add a list of the acceptable methods for obtaining express consent for the disclosure of confidential customer information, as directed in Confidentiality provisions of Canadian carriers, Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-33, 30 May 2003, as amended by Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-33-1, 11 July 2003. Reference: TN 104. Eff. date = 28.01.04.

2004-35 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada dated 17 October 2003, to establish extended area service between the St-Fulgence and Jonquière exchanges, effective 4 February 2004. The Commission however denies Bell Canada's request to increase, from two months to six months, the period where the community of interest criterion is satisfied in a 12 month period. Reference: TN 6775.
