2004-72 The
Commission approves the Primary Inter-exchange carrier processing charges for the
following incumbent local exchange carriers: Bell Canada, MTS Allstream Inc.,
Saskatchewan Telecommunications, Aliant Telecom Inc. and TELUS Communications

2004-73 The
Commission approves the request made by Bell Canada, on behalf of itself, Aliant
Telecom Inc., MTS Communications Inc. (now known as MTS Allstream Inc.).,
Northwestel Inc., TELUS Communications Inc., and TELUS Communications (Québec)
Inc. (the Companies), to reduce the frequency of (a) sponsoring the Statistics
Canada Residential Telephone Service Survey and (b) reporting these survey
results to the Commission from twice a year to once a year. Further, the
Commission denies the Public Interest Advocacy Centre's request that any cost
savings due to a decrease in the frequency of reporting under the affordability
monitoring program be transferred to the Companies' deferral accounts. Reference:

Commission has received an application from Global Television Network Inc.,
across Canada. Deadline for submission of interventions/comments: 14 December

Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing:
2004-10-1
Further to its Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2004-10 dated
3 November 2004 relating to a Public Hearing which will be held on 10 January
2005 at 9:00 a.m, at the Commission Headquarters, 1 Promenade du Portage,
Gatineau, Quebec, the Commission announces that it will also consider the
application by Durham Radio Inc. The interventions/comments deadline is
16 December 2004.
Telecom Order:
2004-373 The
Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 28 September 2004, to
revise General Tariff item 3750, Monthly Distance Charges or Rentals for
Inter-exchange Channels and the Associated Local Channels, in order to withdraw
the option of temporary service, as no customers have requested this service in
