2004-446 Arya Persian TV Network Inc., Across Canada. APPROVED – New national Farsi-language Category 2 specialty programming undertaking, Arya TV. The licence will expire 31 August 2011. (.pdf)

2004-447 The Natural Resources Television Channel (IDRN-TV/IDNR-TV) Inc., Across Canada. APPROVED – New English- and French-language Category 2 specialty programming undertaking to be known as The Natural Resources Television Channel. The licence will expire 31 August 2011. (.pdf)

2004-448 Loyalist College Radio, Belleville, Ontario. APPROVED – Change the frequency from 92.3 MHz (channel 222LP) to 91.3 MHz (channel 217B1) and change the authorized contours by increasing the effective radiated power from 50 watts to 3,400 watts of the radio programming undertaking CJLX-FM Belleville.

Telecom Decisions:

2004-66 The Commission denies an application by Shaw Cablesystems G.P. requesting that the Commission place restrictions on promotions by TELUS Communications Inc. of its higher speed Internet services. Reference: 8622-S9-200312710 and 8622-S9-200319188.

2004-67 The Commission directs Société en commandite Télébec (Télébec) and TELUS Communications Inc. to provide all customers with monthly itemized billing statements within nine months of the date of this Decision. The Commission denies the request of Télébec to recover any costs associated with the introduction of monthly itemized billing statements. Reference: 8638 C12 76/02. (.pdf)

Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing:

2004-6-5 Further to its Broadcasting Notices of Public Hearing CRTC 2004-6, dated 8 July 2004, 2004-6-1 dated 20 July 2004, 2004-6-2 dated 2 September 2004, 2004-6-3 dated 14 September 2004 and 2004-6-4 dated 28 September 2004, relating to a Public Hearing which will be held on 1 November 2004 at 9:30 a.m., at the Conference Centre, Portage IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec, the Commission announces a correction to item 18 (Radio Nord Communications inc.).

2004-339 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications Inc., dated 3 September 2004, in order to withdraw the NAME THAT NUMBER feature from its former TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc. General Tariff, pursuant to paragraph 53 of Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-49. Reference: TN 390. Eff. date = 03.11.04.

2004-340 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications Inc., dated 3 September 2004, in order to withdraw the NAME THAT NUMBER feature from its General Tariff, pursuant to paragraph 53 of Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-49. Reference: TN 155. Eff. date = 08.10.04.

2004-341 The Commission approves an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications, dated 3 September 2004, for the withdrawal of: (a) Switched 56 Kb Access Extension; and (b) Northern Tie Lines. Reference: TN 71. Eff. date = 08.10.04.
