News Release:

CRTC postpones introduction of new area code in Montreal

Broadcasting Decision:

2003-46 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Baie Saint-Paul, Quebec. APPROVED – Relocation of the transmitter for CBVX-FM Baie Saint-Paul, to the CKRT-TV-1 site, and increase of the effective radiated power from 350 watts to 530 watts

2003-47 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Vancouver, British Columbia. APPROVED – Broadcasting of the programming of CBUX-FM Vancouver (la Chaîne culturelle) instead of CBFX-FM (Montréal) by its transitional digital radio undertaking in Vancouver.

2003-48 Whistler Cable Television Ltd., Whistler, British Columbia. APPROVED – Addition of the town of Pemberton for the authorized service area of the cable distribution undertaking serving Whistler.

2003-49 The Base Commander of Canadian Forces Base, Suffield Alberta, Lieutenant-Colonel C.H. Watson and his successors Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Suffield and Wainwright (CFB), Alberta. APPROVED – New transmitter in Wainwright (CFB), for the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CKBF-FM CFB Suffield.

2003-50 Tom Gamblin, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, Saint John, New Brunswick. APPROVED – Low-power English-language FM radio programming undertaking in Saint John, New Brunswick, expring 31 August 2009.

2003-51 591989 B.C. Ltd., Cambridge, Ontario. APPROVED - Change of the frequency from 92.9 MHz to 107.5 MHz (channel 298A) and increase in the effective radiated power from 560 watts to 2,500 watts and the change to the authorized contours, for the broadcasting licence of the radio programming undertaking CIZN-FM Cambridge.

2003-52 Joco Communications Inc. , Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. APPROVED – Primarily English-language low-power FM radio programming undertaking at Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, expiring 31 August 2009.

Telecom Decision:

2003-6 The Commission approves deferring the relief date for area code 514 from 7 February 2004 to 24 September 2005, and other changes related to relief activities. Reference: 8698-C12-10/00 and 8662-A53-01/01.

Notice of Public Hearing:

2003-1-1 Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2003-1 dated 17 January 2003 relating to a Public Hearing which will be held on 24 March 2003 at 9:00 a.m., at the Commission Headquarters, 1 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec, to add item 19 Telus Communications Inc. Deadline for interventions is 10 March 2003.
