Today's Releases - June 30, 2003News release:CRTC telecom ruling clears the way for consumer choice in buildings Telecom Decision:2003-45 Provision of telecommunications services to customers in multi dwelling units – Further to Seeking public input on access to multi dwelling units, in building wiring and riser space, Public Notice CRTC 2000-124, 25 August 2000, as amended by Public Notices 2000-124-1 and 2000-124-2, the Commission establishes the conditions and principles for the provision of telecommunications services to customers located in multi dwelling units (MDUs), including guidelines that will assist building owners and local exchange carriers (LECs) in negotiating just and expedient conditions of access to MDUs. This decision also addresses a number of related matters, including the terms and conditions of access to MDUs via the LECs' facilities. Reference: 8644-C12-03/00.
