Broadcasting Decisions:

2005-63 Rogers Cable Communications Inc., Orangeville, Erin and Grand Valley, Ontario. APPROVED – Inclusion of Erin and surrounding areas, and Grand Valley and surrounding areas within the authorized service area of the cable broadcasting distribution undertaking (BDU) serving Orangeville.

2005-64 Rogers Cable Communications Inc., Oshawa and Ajax, Ontario. APPROVED – Inclusion of the town of Ajax and surrounding areas within the authorized service area of the cable broadcasting distribution undertaking serving Oshawa (including Pine Ridge, Bowmanville, Whitby and Hampton).

2005-65 Videon Cablesystems Inc., Okotoks, Alberta. APPROVED – Inclusion of the Ravenscourt subdivision, a new residential development adjacent to the eastern boundary within the authorized service area of the cable broadcasting distribution undertaking serving Okotoks.

2005-66 Shaw Cablesystems Limited, Calgary, Alberta. APPROVED – Inclusion of the Cochrane Lakes subdivision, a new residential development located approximately six kilometres north of Cochrane within the authorized service area of the cable broadcasting distribution undertaking serving Calgary (including Airdrie, Cochrane, Crossfield, Strathmore, Chestermere Lake).

Broadcasting Public Notice:

2005-14 The Commission has received an application from Aboriginal Voices Radio Inc., Toronto, Ontario. Deadline for submission of interventions/comments: 22 March 2005.

Telecom Order:

2005-54 The Commission approves an application by Prince Rupert City Telephones, dated 10 January 2005, to introduce a $0.2382 compensation per call charge for each toll-free call made from a public or semi public telephone, to be billed to the long distance service provider. Reference: TN 86. Eff. date = 15.02.05.
