Broadcasting Public Notices:
2005-1 Determinations with respect to the establishment of rules to govern the distribution of specialty services on the basic service of fully digital cable undertakings; and call for proposals for a framework to guide the migration of pay and specialty services from analog to a digital distribution environment. The Commission will accept proposals that it receives on or before 7 March 2005. Parties may file replies commenting on the proposals on or before 29 March 2005. (.pdf)
2004-58-2 Call for comments on a proposed framework for the licensing and distribution of high definition pay and specialty services. Second extension of deadline for submission of comments. T he Commission extends the deadline for comments on the matters raised in Public Notice 2004-58 to 7 March 2005.
2004-61-2 Call for comments on a request by the CCTA for the addition of HD Net and Discovery HD Theater to the lists of satellite services eligible for digital distribution. Second extension of deadline for submission of comments. The Commission likewise extends the deadline for the filing of comments with respect to Public Notice 2004-61 to 7 March 2005. Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing:
2004-11-1 Further to its Broadcasting Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2004-11 dated 22 December 2004 relating to a Public Hearing which will be held on 28 February 2005 at 9:30 a.m., at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, 900 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Commission announces corrections to item 13 (Rogers Broadcasting Limited) and item 4 ( Radio India (2004) Ltd.).
Telecom Decision: 2005-1 The Commission approves, with changes, an application filed by Vidéotron ltée on 4 December 2003 to review and vary Telecom Orders CRTC 2003-236, 2003-404 and 2003-475. Specifically, the Commission finds that the annual pole rental rate approved for Le Téléphone de St-Liboire de Bagot Inc., Le Téléphone de St-Éphrem inc. and Téléphone Guèvremont inc. should be reduced from $15.45 to $13.20. Telecom Orders:
2005-9 The Commission approves an application by NorthernTel, Limited Partnership, dated 29 November 2004, to add item 5, Optical Fibre, under section N690 of its General Tariff in order to provide the customer with dark fibre facilities between two rate centres of the company's exchanges that do not have extended area service with each other. 2005-10 The Commission approves an application by Canadian Alliance of Publicly-Owned Telecommunications Systems, on behalf of Bruce Municipal Telephone System, Dryden Municipal Telephone System, Kenora Municipal Telephone System and Thunder Bay Telephone, dated 2 December 2004, in order to introduce a $0.2382 compensation per call charge for toll-free calls made from a public or semi public payphone, to be billed to the long distance service provider. 2005-11 The Commission approves on an interim basis an application by Microcell Solutions Inc., dated 19 November 2004, to revise General Tariff item 302.4, Primary Interexchange Carrier Processing, in order to reflect the rates approved for the incumbent local exchange carriers in Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-72. 2005-12 The Commission approves on an interim basis an application by Vidéotron Télécom ltée, dated 8 December 2004, to revise General Tariff of Interconnection item 302.4, Primary Interexchange Carrier Processing, in order to reflect the rates approved for the incumbent local exchange carriers in Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-72.
