Specific customer notification requirements for local VoIP service providers regarding 9-1-1 service

Telecom Decisions:

2005-61 The Commission approves a CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee final consensus report, which sets out the minimum requirements for customer notification regarding the availability, characteristics, and limitations of the 9-1-1/E9-1-1 service offered with local voice communication service over Internet Protocol. Reference : 8663-C12-200402892.

2005-62 The Commission renders its determination in the proceeding initiated in Bell Canada proposal for VoIP service pricing in Ontario and Quebec, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2005-13, 9 September 2005 and amended in Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2005-13-1. The Commission approves, on an interim basis, Bell-Canada's Tariff Notice 6900. The Commission notes that its determination to allow Bell Canada the ability to price its service differently in Ontario and Quebec is limited to its Bell Digital Voice service proposed in Tariff Notice 6900. Broadcasting Decisions:

2005-505 Astral Broadcasting Group Inc., across Canada. APPROVED – National French-language Category 2 specialty programming undertaking to be known as Télé-Vitesse. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.

2005-506 Anderson Parish Media Inc., City of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. DENIED – English-language commercial FM radio programming undertaking in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

2005-507 Kenneth Clarke Odland, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, Wolseley, Saskatchewan. APPROVED – English-language low-power tourist FM radio programming undertaking in Wolseley. The licence will expire 31 August 2012.

2005-508 Videotron (Regional) Ltd., Gatineau, Gatineau (Buckingham sector), Thurso and Montebello, Quebec and Rockland, Ontario. DENIED – Relief from the requirement to distribute CITS-TV-1 Ottawa, Ontario as part of the basic analog service.

2005-509 Rock 95 Broadcasting (Barrie-Orillia) Ltd., Barrie, Ontario. APPROVED – Technical change for the radio programming undertaking CFJB-FM Barrie, as noted in the decision.

Telecom Order:

2005-355 The Commission approves on a final basis the following tariff application: Bell Canada TN 863 (NST). (streamlined order)
