Broadcasting Decision:
2005-530 CanWest MediaWorks Inc., Montréal, Quebec. DENIED – Amendment of a condition of licence to reduce from 75% to 50% the minimum percentage of ethnic programming that must be broadcast between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on CJNT-TV.
DENIED – Deletion of a condition of licence that requires CJNT-TV to devote specific percentages of non-ethnic programming to English- and French-language programming. APPROVED – Deletion of annual requirements for CJNT-TV to serve a minimum number of ethnic groups in a minimum number of languages while maintaining similar requirements that must be met monthly.
Telecom Costs Orders:
2005-10 The Commission approves the application for costs by ARCH: A Legal Resource Centre for Persons with Disabilities with respect to its participation in the Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2004-1 proceeding. Reference: 8678-C12-200402313 and 4754-253.
2005-11 The Commission approves the application for costs by the Canadian Association of the Deaf with respect to its participation in the Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2004-1 proceeding. Reference: 8678-C12-200402313 and 4754-256.
