DECISIONS:

2000-130 La Coopérative de Câblodistribution de Saint-Fidèle, Saint-Fidèle, Québec. APPROVED – Application to be relieved, by condition of licence, from the requirement to delete the duplicate programming from CFTM-TV Montréal or to substitute therefor the local service of CIMT-TV Rivière-du-Loup, when the programming is identical.

2000-131 5191991 B.C. Ltd., Rimouski, Quebec. APPROVED – Broadcasting licence for a French-language FM radio programming undertaking at Rimouski, expiring 31 August 2006.

2000-132 Russel C. Cook, on behalf of a non-profit corporation to be incorporated, Opaskwayak Cree Nation (The Pas), Manitoba. APPROVED – Broadcasting licence for a Native- and English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Opaskwayak Cree Nation near The Pas, expiring 31 August 2006.

APPROVED – Broadcasting licence for an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at North Battleford, expiring 31 August 2005.

NOTICES OF PUBLIC HEARING:

2000-3-1 Issue no. 2 is withdrawn from the agenda of the Public Hearing to be held on 9 May 2000 at Kingston, Ontario and is rescheduled on the agenda of the Public Hearing commencing on 27 June 2000, at 9:00 a.m., at the Holiday Inn Select, 99 Viger Avenue West, Montréal, Quebec.

NOTICE:

2000-57 Seeking input on higher speed access services offered by smaller cable carriers. Reference: 8646-C12-01/00. Various smaller incumbent cable carriers offer or plan to offer higher speed access services. The Commission invites comment on the regulatory approach to these services that will achieve Telecommunications Act objectives.

ORDERS:

2000-351 Bell TN 6233. The CRTC refuses to change Bell Canada’s General Tariff relating to construction charges and orders Bell Canada to file a tariff giving its customers the option to pay for extensions on a reasonable instalment basis.

2000-352 Optel TN 05. The Commission approves on an interim basis Optel Communications Corporation's proposed tariff provisions for access services in the provinces of Manitoba and Nova Scotia.

2000-353 CityTel TN 40. The Commission approves Prince Rupert City Telephones' final 1999 Carrier Access Tariff at $0.0357 per minute.

2000-354 Reference: Québec-Téléphone TN 262, Télébec TN 240 and 8695-C12-10/99. The Commission approves on an interim basis, effective 1 January 2000, Québec-Téléphone's interim 2000 contribution rate of $0.0276 per minute, and Télébec's interim 2000 contribution rate of $0.0453 per minute.

2000-355 Reference: 8638-O4-01/97; 8661-C7-02/97; 8661-C7-03/97; 8661-C7-04/97; 8661-C7-05/97; 8661-C7-06/97; 8661-C7-07/97; 8661-C7-08/97. The Commission approves reductions to the line-side wireless access service rates in independent company territories.
