What's New - February 11, 2000

The CRTC has implemented a one-numbering system for its broadcasting and telecommunications decisions and notices. All CRTC decisions and notices will now be numbered in sequence. We hope that this will make it easier for you to access our documents.

DECISIONS:

2000-39 Star Choice Television Network Inc., Across Canada. APPROVED - Temporary relief from the requirements of conditions of licence pertaining to identical programming deletion and for authorization to offer a second set of « 4+1 » U.S. signals as part of a discretionary package.

2000-40 Vision TV: Canada's Faith Network/Réseau Religieux Canada, Across Canada. DENIED - Application to introduce up to 20 hours each week of local programming inserts and up to 12 minutes of local advertising in this programming.

2000-41 Cogeco Radio-Télévision inc., Standard Radio Inc. APPROVED - New transitional digital radio undertakings at Montréal and Laval.

ORDERS:

2000-112 Bell. TN  6434. APPROVED. A 56 kbps digital facility between Hawkesbury, Ontario and Montebello, Quebec. Eff. Date = 14.2.2000.

2000-113 Bell. TN 6435. APPROVED. Establishment of extended area service between the exchanges of Chambord and Alma and the exchanges of St-Ambroise-de-Chicoutimi and Alma, located in Quebec. Eff. Date = 18.3.2000.

2000-114 Bell. TN 6436. APPROVED. Intercept message on Centrex lines being changed to individual business lines. Eff. Date = 14.2.2000.

2000-115 MTS. TN 382. APPROVED. Introduction of Microlink Measured Service, which provides for usage measured digital transmission of voice and data consisting of two 64 kbps B channels and one 16 kbps D channel located between MTS's serving wire centre and the customer's premises. Eff. Date = 14.2.2000.
