issues three new Toronto radio licences
DECISIONS:
2000-203
B. Denham Jolly, on behalf of a company to be incorporated, Toronto,
Ontario. APPROVED - Broadcasting licence for an English-language FM radio programming
undertaking at Toronto, expiring 31 August 2006.
2000-204
Gary Farmer, on behalf of an incorporated body to be known as Aboriginal
Voices Radio, Toronto, Ontario. APPROVED in part - Broadcasting licence for an English-
and Native-language radio programming undertaking at Toronto, expiring on 31 August
2006. DENIED Applicant's proposal to also broadcast the signal of this station on a
transmitter located at Toronto/Hornby that would operate on AM frequency 740kHz with a
transmitter power of 50,000 watts.

CHWO Ontario Inc. on behalf of 1210361 Ontario Inc. (general partner) and
Ken Harrigan, George Patton, Terry Patterson and Peter Gilgan (the limited partners),
Toronto/Hornby, Ontario. APPROVED - Broadcasting licence for an English-language AM radio
programming undertaking at Toronto, expiring 31 August 2006.

Various applicants, Toronto, Ontario. DENIED - 13 applications, either for licences for
new AM or FM undertakings, or for amendments to the licences of existing Toronto, Ajax and
Timmins radio stations. Three applications have been approved in Decisions CRTC 2000-203
to 2000-205, published today.

Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan To
add a new transmitter. Image Wireless Communications Inc., Yorkton,
Saskatchewan To decrease the power of a transmitter. CKIK-FM Limited,
Banff, Alberta To add an FM radio transmitter. Rogers Radio (British
Columbia) Ltd., Chilliwack, British Columbia To remove a condition of
licence. Deadline for intervention: 21 July 2000.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:
2000-5-1
Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2000-5 dated 26 May 2000 relating to its
Public Hearing which will be held on 14 August 2000, at 9:00 a.m., at the Conference
Centre, Phase IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, the Commission
announces that items 415, 85, 93, 154 and 450 are withdrawn from the public hearing.
