Pay distribution of TFO in Quebec: CRTC rejects TVOntario application
DECISION:

The Ontario Educational Communications Authority (TVOntario), Toronto,
Ontario. DENIED, by majority vote - Request that all Class 1 cable systems and MDS
distribution undertakings serving Quebec be required, on a mandatory basis, to distribute
TFO on a discretionary analog tier for a fee.

The Commission has received applications from Rogers Cable Inc., Rogers Cablesystems
Ontario Limited, Rogers Cablesystems Georgian Bay Limited, Rogers Ottawa Limited/limitée,
Vidéotron ltée, Vidéotron (Laurentien) ltée/Vidéotron (Laurentian) Ltd. and CF Cable,
for relief, by condition of licence, from the requirement of section 7 of the Broadcasting
Distribution Regulations. Deadline date for intervention: 5 April 2000.
