What's New - March 16, 2000

The CRTC has implemented a one-numbering system for its broadcasting and telecommunications decisions and notices. All CRTC decisions and notices will now be numbered in sequence. We hope that this will make it easier for you to access our documents.

NOTICES:

2000-40 The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) proposes to add an FM radio transmitter at Clarenville, Newfoundland, to offer the programming of CBN St. John's Radio One service, and at Campbellton, New Brunswick, to offer the programming of CBAL-FM Moncton (La Chaîne culturelle). Deadline for intervention:  20 April 2000.

2000-41 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Amendment of the broadcasting licence of radio station CBF-FM Montréal, Quebec, to improve the service of "La Première Chaîne" provided by CBF-FM in Greater Montréal, particularly in the outlying Metropolitan areas. Deadline for intervention:   5 April 2000.

DECISION:

2000-74 Conditions of Call Originator Billing service for wireless service providers. Reference: 8648-C12-01/97 8648-C12-01/97. This decision establishes the general principles for setting the rates, terms and conditions of Call Originator Billing service.

ORDER:

2000-204 Bell TNs 6442/A. The Commission approves Bell’s tariff revisions to introduce the large business customer access bundle to provide the subscribers with the option to obtain flat rate business individual line primary exchange service and Megalink service at discounted access rates over a multi-year contract term. Eff. Date = 1.4.2000.
