DECISIONS:

2000-396 Angela Demers, on behalf of AD Communications, a company to be incorporated, Kapuskasing, Ontario. DENIED - Broadcasting licence for an English-language low-power FM radio, programming undertaking at Kapuskasing.

2000-397 Angela Demers, on behalf of AD Communications, a company to be incorporated, Timmins, Ontario. DENIED - Broadcasting licence for an English-language low-power FM radio programming undertaking at Timmins.

2000-398 Golden West Broadcasting Ltd., Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. DENIED - Proposed transmitter relocation and change in frequency for the new FM station at Moose Jaw.

NOTICE:

2000-139 Cablevue (Quinte) Limited, Belleville, Ontario – 200019548. The Commission announces that it has approved, by Letter of Authority A00-0095 dated 27 September 2000, a change to the ownership and control of Cablevue (Quinte) Limited, licensee of the cable distribution undertaking serving Belleville. The change is effected through the transfer of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Cablevue to Cogeco Cable Inc., a Canadian owned and controlled company. The Commission notes that Cogeco will subsequently transfer these shares to a wholly-owned subsidiary, Cogeco Cable Canada Inc.

ORDERS:

2000-831-1 General Tariff approved on an interim basis with modifications for Microcell Connexions Inc. Correction to Order CRTC 2000-831 dated 8 September 2000.

2000-897 The Commission approves Amtelecom's request to:  introduce Enhanced Call Forwarding, Anonymous Call Rejection and Selective Distinctive Ringing; increase the rates for Call Waiting, Ident-A-Call, Call Display and Visual Call Waiting for business and residential customers; and make housekeeping changes. Reference:  TN 42. Eff. Date = 15.10.2000.

2000-898 The Commission approves, on a final basis, Bell Canada's application to introduce the Autumn Calling Features Promotion which enables customers who subscribe to a designated calling feature on a stand-alone basis or in a specific bundle to receive a $10 or a $5 rebate upon redeeming a coupon. Reference:  TN 6505.

2000-899 The Commission approves, on a final basis, an application filed by Maritime Tel & Tel Limited on behalf of itself, NBTel Inc. and Island Telecom Inc., to increase the monthly rate for the Call Display feature. NBTel also proposed to increase the monthly rate for the Name Display feature. Reference:  MTT TNs 781 and 781A, Island Tel TNs 542 and 542A and NBTel TNs 842 and 842A.

2000-900 The Commission approves, on a final basis, NBTel's application to introduce a new promotion in conjunction with the Basic Canada Toll/Internet Packages, Usage and Flat Rates until 30 November 2000. Reference:  TN 841.

2000-901 The Commission approves, on a final basis, NBTel's application to extend the Basic Business Communications Service Bundle Promotion to 25 November 2000. Reference:  TN 845.

2000-902 The Commission approves, on a final basis, NBTel's application to extend the Basic Business Single Line Access Bundle Promotion to 25 November 2000. Reference:  TN 846.

2000-903 The Commission denies Bell Canada’s proposed increase in the monthly interest rate for late payment charges. Reference:  TN 6501.

2000-904 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request for the addition of a promotion for home-based businesses to subscribe to KeyPak service with a shortened promotional period until 28 February 2001. Reference:  TN 6514. Eff. Date = 2.10.2000.
