Broadcasting Decisions:

2004-153 Compton Cable T.V. Limited, Utica, Port Perry, Uxbridge, Goodwood, Epsom, Prince Albert and Coppins Corners, Ontario. APPROVED – New English-language general interest video-on-demand service consisting primarily of feature films. The licence will expire 31 August 2010.

2004-154 CHRS Broadcasting, Inc., Federicton, New Brunswick. APPROVED – Increase of the effective radiated power from 50 watts to 250 watts and an increase of the antenna height from 28.5 metres to 48 metres of the authorized contours of CHSR-FM Fredericton.

2004-155 James K. Langille, Chief Administrative Officer, Town of Truro and his successors, Truro, Nova Scotia. APPROVED – New low-power English-language FM radio programming undertaking to provide a tourist information service in Truro. The licence will expire 31 August 2010. (.pdf)

2004-157 Global Television Network Inc. and TVA Group Inc., partners in the general partnership known as Mystery General Partnership, Across Canada. APPROVED – Authorization to acquire the 9.9% partnership interest currently held by Rogers Broadcasting Limited. The licence expire 31 August 2007.

2004-158 Radio communautaire de Radisson, Radisson, Quebec. APPROVED – Authority to acquire the assets of CIAU-FM Radisson and for a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of this undertaking. The new licence will expire 31 August 2010.

2004-159 1225520 Ontario Inc., Across Canada. APPROVED – Authority to acquire the assets of The Short Film Channel, The Love Channel, and the Horror Channel/The Creep Show and for broadcasting licences to operate the undertakings. The licences will expire 31 August 2007. (.pdf)

2004-160 Vision TV: Canada’s Faith Network / Réseau religieux canadien, on behalf of a not-for-profit corporation to be incorporated, Across Canada. APPROVED – Transfer of assets of Vision’s specialty undertakings to a not-for-profit corporation to be incorporated, and for a broadcasting licence to operate Vision TV. 2004-161 Standard Radio Inc., Summerland, British Columbia. DENIED – Conversion of its radio programming undertaking CHOR Summerland to the FM band.

2004-162 Cogeco Radio Television Inc., TVA Group Inc., TQS inc. and Viewer’s Choice Canada Inc., partners in a general partnership known as Canal Indigo, Across Canada. APPROVED – Amendment to the broadcasting licences of the pay-per-view and the direct-to-home pay-per-view programming undertakings known as Canal Indigo, in order to change the condition of licence relating to closed captioning as noted in the decision.

2004-163 CHUM Limited, Toronto, Ontario. APPROVED – Increase of the average effective radiated power from 600 watts to 1,300 watts of the authorized contour of the transitional digital television undertaking CITY-DT Toronto.

2004-164 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Saskatoon. Saskatchewan. APPROVED – Extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new transmitter at Saskatoon, until 30 April 2005.

2004-165 Kemano Community Association, Kemano, British Columbia. The Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Kemano Community Association.

2004-166 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Windsor, Ontario. APPROVED - Extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new transmitter at Windsor, until 30 April 2005.

2004-26 The Commission has received an application from TV5 Québec Canada, Across Canada. Intervention deadline: 28 May 2004.

Telecom Orders:

2004-131 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada filed on behalf of itself, Aliant Telecom Inc. and MTS Communications Inc., dated 19 March 2004, to revise the National Services Tariff items 310, High Capacity 45 Service, and 311, Bandwidth Data Service, in order to withdraw these services as there are no customers for these services. Reference: TN 809 (National Services Tariff). Eff. date = 23.04.04.

2004-132 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 19 March 2004, to revise General Tariff item 4625, 14/12 GHz Satellite Occasional Use Video Service, in order to withdraw the service as there are no customers for this service. Reference: TN 6800. Eff. date = 23.04.04.

2004-133 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 18 March 2004, to revise several Access Service Tariff items in order to revise the page numbering. Reference: TN 6799. Eff. date = 23.04.04.

2004-134 The Commission approves an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 14 October 2003 and amended on 17 March 2004, in order to provide a distinction between an Aliant Telecom affiliate and a customer affiliate, pursuant to the Commission's directives in Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-76. Reference: TNs 108 and 108A. Eff. date = 23.04.04.

2004-135 The Commission approves an application by Le Téléphone de St Éphrem inc., dated 16 March 2004, to increase the monthly rates for its residential and business primary exchange services. Reference: TN 30. Eff. date = 01.06.04.

2004-136 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications Inc., dated 2 February 2004, in order to update the Business Value Bundle monthly rates, specific to the local line component only, to maintain appropriate rate parities relative to the local line rate changes approved as part of the 2002 and 2003 annual Price Cap filings. Reference: TN 137. Eff. date = 23.04.04.

2004-137 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 15 March 2004, to revise General Tariff item 201, Wireless Service Provider Enhanced Provincial 9-1-1 Network Access Service in order to extend the service to the City of Edmonton.
