Broadcasting Decisions:

2004-277 Astral Média Radio inc., Drummondville and Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. APPROVED – Authority to broadcast a lower level of Canadian popular music on these “oldies” radio stations, for the broadcasting licences for CHRD-FM Drummondville and CFEI-FM Saint-Hyacinthe.

2004-278 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Sainte-Famille, Quebec. APPROVED – Extension of the he time limit to commence the operation of the transmitter of CBVT Québec, until 5 December 2004.

2004-279 Trinity Television Inc., Winnipeg, Manitoba. APPROVED - Extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the English language religious television programming undertaking, until 30 November 2005.

2004-280 CHUM Limited, Brockville, Ontario. The Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to CHUM Limited for CFJR Brockville.

2004-281 Peace River Broadcasting Corporation Ltd., High Prairie, Alberta. APPROVED – Change in the authorized contours of the transmitter CJHP FM High Prairie by increasing the effective radiated power and the antenna height.

2004-282 Trust Communications Ministries, Peterborough, Ontario. APPROVED – Change in the authorized contours of the transmitter CJLF FM-2 Peterborough by relocating the transmitter and by increasing the antenna height.

2004-283 Halifax Cablevision Limited, Halifax and surrounding areas, Kingswood, Glen Arbour, Westwood Hills, Haliburton Hills and Waterstone, Nova Scotia. APPROVED – Inclusion of the subdivisions known as Kingswood, Glen Arbour, Westwood Hills, Haliburton Hills and Waterstone within the service area of the cable distribution undertaking serving Halifax and surrounding areas.

2004-238 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 4 June 2004 and amended on 11 June 2004, to provide for central-office located software to reroute a customer's data traffic, originating from two separate PBXs at different locations, served by two Megalink ISP links in the same wire centre to prevent the total loss of traffic in either location in the event of a PBX failure. Reference: TNs 6820 and 6820A. Eff. date = 19.07.04.

2004-239 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 17 February 2004, in order to increase the monthly rates for both local and inter exchange analogue circuits. Reference: TN 6794. Eff. date = 19.07.04. (.pdf)

2004-240 The Commission approves on an interim basis, subject to one change, an application by Bell Canada, dated 17 February 2004 and amended on 12 March 2004, proposing rate reductions for DS-3, OC-3 and OC-12 access, and OC-3 and OC 12 intra-exchange channels. The company also proposed the elimination of the link charges for these access services. Reference: TNs 808 and 808A (NST). Eff. date = 19.07.04.

2004-241 The Commission approves Sogetel inc.'s Primary Interexchange Carrier/Customer Account Record Exchange Access Customer Handbook filed on 24 October 2000 and revised on 28 April 2004. Reference: 8643-S4-02/00.

2004-242 The Commission denies an application by TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc., dated 18 March 2004, to withdraw Special Facilities Tariff item 1.01, Video Transmission Channel. Reference: TN 377.
