Telecom Decision: (released 14 August 2002 PM)

2002-48 The Commission finds that a service proposed to be provided by Aliant Telecom Inc. would constitute a bundled service. The Commission prohibits the company from providing the service without first obtaining prior tariff approval. Reference: 8622-E17-03/02.

Broadcasting Public Notice:

2002-46 The Commission has received the following applications: TVA Group Inc., Publications Transcontinental Inc. and BCE Média Inc.; TVA Group Inc., Films Rozon Inc. and BCE Média Inc.; and TVA Group Inc., Global Television Network Inc. and Rogers Broadcasting Limited; across Canada. Intervention deadline: 19 September 2002.

Telecom Orders:

2002-336 The Commission approves an application from Amtelecom Inc., dated 28 March 2002, and amended on 15 July 2002, to revise General Tariff item 100.3, Exchange Service, in order to increase the monthly rates for residential and business primary exchange services by a total of 2.64%. Reference: TNs 46 and 46A. Eff. date = 15.08.02.

2002-337 The Commission approves an application by Aliant Telecom Inc., dated 2 May 2002, and amended on 31 May 2002, to transfer the items noted in the Order to the Aliant Telecom General Tariff item 205.3, Multi-Line Access Service. Reference: TNs 20 and 20A. Eff. date = 15.08.02.

2002-338 The Commission denies an application from Bell Canada, dated 29 May 2002, to amend General Tariff item 90, Service Charges – General, in order to remove the current exemption from service charges to re-establish service at a customer's premises, or other location, when the interruption of service is caused by damage beyond the customer's control. Reference: TN 6677.
