Broadcasting Decisions:

2002-256 John Elliott, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. APPROVED - CFWJ-FM - Licence amendment pertaining to the distribution of advertising material.

2002-257 Radio CFXU Club (formerly Saint Francis Xavier University Students' Union, on behalf of a not-for-profit organization to be incorporated), Antigonish, Nova Scotia. APPROVED – New developmental English-language FM campus radio station in Antigonish. The licence will expire 30 August 2006.

2002-258 H.F. Dougall Company Limited, on behalf of North Superior Broadcasting Ltd., Marathon, Ontario. APPROVED – Acquisition of the effective control of North Superior through the purchase of all of its issued and outstanding shares.

2002-259 Labbe Media Incorporated, Wawa, Ontario. APPROVED - Acquisition of the assets of CJWA-FM Wawa and for a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of the station. The licence will expire 31 August 2004.

2002-260 Sask-Alta Broadcasters Limited, Lloydminster, Alberta. APPROVED - New low-power English-language FM radio station in Lloydminster, Alberta that will provide a tourist information service. The licence is effective from 1 September 2002 and expiring 31 August 2009.

2002-261 Global Television Network Inc. and Global Communications Limited, partners in Global Television Network Quebec Limited Partnership, Québec, Quebec. APPROVED - CKMI-TV Québec and its transmitters – Transfer of ownership.

Telecom Decisions:

2002-52 In the decision, the Commission decides not to revoke Item 2175 of Bell Canada's General Tariff, Customer Name and Address, and directs Bell Canada to issue amended tariff pages removing the provision relating to the disclosure of confidential information to law enforcement agencies pursuant to a search warrant or other judicial authorization. Reference: 8651-C12-01/01.

2002-53 In the decision, the Commission concludes that it is appropriate for Saskatchewan Telecommunications to be subject to the quality of service standards and reporting requirements imposed on the other major incumbent telephone companies. Reference: 8663-S22-01/99.

Telecom Order:

2002-365 The Commission approves on an interim basis an application by TELUS Communications Inc., dated 15 August 2002, to amend its Special Assembly Tariff Item Z-107, Customer Specific Business Service, in order to revise the scope and rates of an Operator Services arrangement required to meet the business needs of a customer. Reference: TN 501. Eff. Date = 30.08.02.
