CRTC welcomes release of
OECD review of regulatory reform
Broadcasting Decisions:
2002-323-1
and 2002-330-1 CHUM Television Vancouver Inc., Vancouver and
Courtenay, British Columbia. The Commission hereby corrects Decisions 2002-323
and 2002-330,
21 October 2002, in which the licensee of the television programming
undertaking CKVU-TV Vancouver and its transmitter CKVU-TV-1 Courtenay was
incorrectly identified as CHUM Limited. The licensee is, in fact, a
wholly-owned subsidiary of CHUM Limited, namely CHUM Television Vancouver
Inc.
2002-326-1
and 2002-327-1 CHUM Limited, Wingham, and Wheatley and Windsor,
Ontario. The Commission hereby corrects Decisions 2002-326
and 2002-327,
21 October 2002, in which condition of licence number 2 should
have stated the following: Beginning 1 December 2004, the licensee
shall caption 90% of all programming during the broadcast day.
Broadcasting Letters:
The Commission approves application 2002-0743-2 concerning a voting
trust arrangement for the shares of Entreprises Radio Etchemin Inc. owned
by Astral Media Inc. and the designation of Mr. Paul-Émile Beaulne as
trustee.
The Commission approves application 2002-0820-9 by Astral Media Inc. to
obtain approval for a trust arrangement concerning certain AM stations and
the designation of Mr. Paul-Émile Beaulne as trustee.
