CRTC sets out framework
for extending local calling areas
Telecom Decision:
2002-56 Framework
for the expansion of local calling areas. In this decision, the Commission
maintains the existing extended area of service (EAS) criteria to assess
applications for EAS as these criteria continue to be appropriate in certain
circumstances. The Commission also announces a new framework for the expansion
of local calling areas (LCAs). Reference : 8663-C12-04/01.
