Broadcasting Decisions:

2002-273 Robert G. Hopkins, Tagish, Yukon Territory. APPROVED – Broadcasting licence to operate a low-power English-language FM radio programming undertaking in Tagish, Yukon Territory. The licence will expire 31 August 2009.

2002-274 Persona Communications Inc., Berthierville, Quebec. The Commission revokes the licence issued to Persona Communications Inc. for the cable undertaking serving Berthierville.

2002-275 Newcap Inc., Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. APPROVED – Extension of the time limit to 4 October 2003 to commence operation of a new radio programming undertaking in Ottawa/Gatineau.

2002-276 Les Communications Matane inc., Matane, Quebec. APPROVED – Increase of the effective radiated power of the radio programming undertaking CHOE-FM Matane, from 12,730 watts to 30,000 watts.

2002-277 1158556 Ontario Ltd., doing business under the name of Celestial Sound, Timmins, Chapleau, Elliot Lake, Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. APPROVED – Extension of the time limit to 20 December 2002 to commence operation of the new transmitters of CHIM-FM Timmins at Chapleau, Elliot Lake, Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie.

2002-278 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Corner Brook, Stephenville, etc., Newfoundland. The Commission revokes the broadcasting licence of the radio programming undertaking CBYT Corner Brook and its transmitters CBYT-1 Stephenville, CBYT-2 Irishtown, CBYT-4 Port-aux-Basques, CBYT-5 St. Andrews, CBYT-10 Harbour Le Cou, CBYT-11 Rose Blanche, CBYT-12 Gillams, CBYT-13 Lark Harbour, CBYT-14 York Harbour and CBUAT Deer Lake.

2002-279 Mountain Cablevision Limited, Hamilton, Ontario. APPROVED – Distribution of a second set of U.S. 4+1 signals, distant Canadian television signals and WNYO-49 (Warner Brothers).

2002-280 Aurora Cable TV Limited, Aurora and Richmond Hill, Ontario. APPROVED – Distribution of a second set of U.S. 4+1 signals and distant Canadian television signals.

2002-281 Southmount Cable Limited, Hamilton, Ontario. APPROVED – Distribution of a secon set of U.S. signals, distant canadian television signals and WNYO-49 (Warner Brothers).

Telecom Orders:

2002-367 The Commission approves an application by TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc., dated 22 July 2002, to revise General Tariff item 2.20.03, SmartTouch Services, in order to introduce a promotion for local residential customers from 11 November 2002 to 5 January 2003. Reference: TN 331.

2002-368 The Commission approves an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 11 July 2002, to transfer the tariff items noted in the Order to the Aliant Telecom General Tariff item 300, Residence Single-Line Access Bundles. Reference: TN 31. Eff. date = 05.09.02.

2002-369 The Commission approves an application by Bell West Inc. (Bell West), dated 23 July 2002, for approval of the executed Master Agreement for Interconnection (the agreement) between Bell West and AT&T Canada Corp. Reference: 8340-B37-0872/00.

2002-370 The Commission approves an application by Bell Canada, dated 22 July 2002, to add item D36(ff), Digital Transmission Facilities – DS-1, to its Special Facilities Tariff in order to provide a DS-1 facility between the customer's premises in Lawrenceville, Quebec, located in the operating territory of CoopTel, and the nearest Bell Canada central office. Reference: TN 6687. Eff. date = 05.09.02.

2002-371 The Commission approves an application by Microcell Connexions Inc. (Microcell), dated 25 July 2002, for approval of Appendices 4 and 5 to Schedule C of the Master Agreement for Local Interconnection (the agreement) between Microcell and Bell Canada, as well as a revised page 5 of Schedule C. Reference: 8340-M29-0852/02.

2002-372 The Commission approves an application by MTS Communications Inc., dated 25 July 2002, to revise General Tariff item 2255, Centrex Calling Features Promotion, in order to introduce a promotion of specific calling features that are available to Centrex service customers. The specific calling features that are proposed for the promotion are: Simultaneous Ring, Call Forward Remote Activation and Speed Call (10 and 50 number). Reference: TN 482.
