2000-2222-8

Application processed by Public Notice
CRTC 2001-42 dated 2 April 2001

Addition of a transmitter of CILK-FM Kelowna at Magna Bay

1. 9;

The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CILK-FM Kelowna (the originating station), by authorizing the licensee to add a transmitter at Magna Bay.

2. 9;

This transmitter will enable the licensee to adequately serve the population of Magna Bay.

3. 9;

As proposed, the new FM transmitter will operate on frequency 94.7 MHz, channel 234LP, with an effective radiated power of 6.3 watts.

4. 9;

The technical parameters approved in this decision are for a low-power unprotected FM service. The applicant would have to select other frequencies if required to do so to permit the best use of the frequency band.
