CRTC Telecommunications Industry Data CollectionSecure access to Telecommunications Industry Data Collection SystemFor information regarding secure communications with the CRTC for anything other than DCS, please visit the epass FAQ page. What is an epass, and what will I use it for?An epass is a unique electronic credential (username/password) that you use to communicate securely with on-line Government services. You can own several different epasses if you choose, or re-use the same one with different services or departments. Your epass will not expire if you use it at least once a year. Apart from using it to submit applications to the CRTC, you will be able to use it to authenticate your identity when you send information to any Government epass service, or when you sign an on-line Government document. Your epass ensures that messages or documents that you transmit on-line are not altered. How do I obtain an epass? If you were a Response Manager or Form Respondent and you participated in the data collection process last year, you already have epass. Your user id and password are valid for up to one year since the last time they were used. If you have forgotten your userid or password, it has been more than one year since you accessed DCS or you do not have a user id and password, you will need to follow these 6 steps to obtain an epass; 1. Contact us by email at telinfo@crtc.gc.ca or by telephone at (+1 819 997 4597) and provide us with your name, title, company, telephone number, postal address and email address. Once we have reviewed these, you will be issued an activation code.
