Associate Executive Director, Broadcasting

OTTAWA-GATINEAU — It is my pleasure to announce that Scott Hutton has accepted to fill the position of Associate Executive Director, Broadcasting in the Broadcasting and Telecommunications sector of the CRTC effective 6 September 2006 until 31 March 2007.

Scott brings many years of experience at the CRTC to this key position, having assumed increasing levels of management responsibility.  Although he has worked most recently in the Telecommunications sector, Scott began his career at the CRTC as a Broadcasting analyst. Scott has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa, with a major in Finance and a minor in International Business.  He also has a D.E.C. in Administrative Science from Outaouais College in Hull, Québec.  Scott is fluently bilingual.

I am confident that his background and talents will be an asset to our organization as we embark on new initiatives.

In the fall, Scott will take the time to travel to different parts of the country to meet with industry players.

Len Katz
Executive Director
