Application No. 2002-0404-0 |
|
Application by
Community Radio of Saskatoon Inc. to renew the licence
of radio station CFCR-FM expiring 31 August 2003. |
|
In Decision CRTC 2001-677 the Commission renewed the
station’s licence and announced a mandatory order requiring
that the licensee comply with Canadian content regulations. |
|
The Commission notes that in May 2002, CFCR-FM submitted
incomplete logger tapes to the Commission. This is therefore
an alleged violation of subsections 8(5) an 8(6) of the
Radio Regulations, 1986. |
|
The Commission expects the licensee to show cause at this
hearing why a mandatory order requiring the licensee to comply
with these subsections of the Radio Regulations, 1986,
should not be issued. |
|
Decision 2001-677 says: "The Commission emphasizes
that it may have recourse to additional measures in the event
of any future non-compliance with the conditions of licence or
regulations, including suspension, non-renewal or revocation
of the licence." |
|
The Commission also therefore expects the licensee to show
cause at this hearing why the Commission should not suspend or
fail to renew the licence. |
